What Have You Done?

You know, I’m conflicted. My normal, easy-going self wants to post a whole bunch of sites up here… but the SEO conspiracy theorist in me doesn’t want to tie together too many of my sites for “oogleGay”. So, here’s a list of a few projects. There are others… oh yes, there are others.

This lawyer SEO site has been online for some time now… with first page rankings for a number of search engine marketing keywords. CaseDetails.com offers SEO advice for lawyers and non-lawyers with topics ranging from analytics to video optimization, local search marketing to search engine optimization strategies.
HotelReservations.cc
This is a nice looking site (I think) that targets a keyphrase with around 2 million searches per month: hotel reservations. I’ve gotten the Google rankings for “hotel reservations” as high as #10 but, since I haven’t updated it in a while, the rankings have slipped in that engine. Bing.com still loves it – last time I checked, it was #6 for hotel reservation and #10 for hotel reservations.

This site is a good example of the Associate-o-Matic product. With a little bit of configuration, their system allows you launch a templated site that features Amazon inventory. In this case, I saw an opening in the market for crawfish cooker and a few other crawfish-related keywords, so I decided to build a site around it. I sure wish a live crawfish provider like LACrawfish.com offered affiliate programs…
4Hotels.us
Even though I’ve neglected to update it lately, this site continues to drive good traffic. The hotel maps subdomain has really been a great marketing hook – it contains mashups of Google Maps and a hotel database of 26000 properties. Someday soon I’ll update that DB.
